Aww, silly hobbitses are so precious!

Especially when in a Circus... of Family...

As some one with the full annotated version of "The Hobbit" on my shelf, I give this design my seal of approval.

It is a fair summation of key moments of travel in the book.

If only the doorknob was in the correct place... Great shirt! Love the design of the key destinations in the book! Perfect shirt for the midnight release of The Hobbit! ;)

Oh well, despite the slightly off center doorknob, it is still a great shirt!

Oh, dear! I feel like I'm morally obligated to by this for my [totally obsessed with Lord of the Rings/Hobbit] best friend, but I already bought her Christmas present and birthday present. What a to-do! What a to-do!

I face-palmed over your comment a while ago, but I did it so hard I knocked myself out. Well punned sir, well punned indeed.

I was thinking more along the lines of "Bill R. R. Tolkeane".

All of the There and the Back Again on one shirt! That's awesome.

Brilliant stuff as always, Adam.

Dear woot gods,
I have ordered my wife's shirt, but if you could get ApeLad to resubmit the artwork with the doorknob in the middle of the door that would be great.
Sincerely,
your loyal subject

Bilby: Gandalf? Where is Beorn?
Gandalf: He's with the angels, Bilby.

Seriously, someone make a Hobbit shirt with Beorn on it!

I will add to the petition for fixing the doorknob and including Beorn -

Still buying it though...

This will go perfectly with my
Calvin and Hobbes Hobbit shirt from THAT OTHER SHIRT SITE

Splendid Shirt!

Scary thing to keep in mind: If you do a design based on cult geekery (or geek cutlery), you damn well better do your homework and get it right, or else the nerd-horde will skewer you over it.

Happy good times ApeLad!

move along

Debate debate debate -

Do I buy these for my son & husband even though the knob is not centered.....

My husband is a big fan and will know it's off, and my son, while OCD, may not currently know it well enough to realize it's off. BUT when it does, it may bug the crap out of him......

hmmmmm.......

Dadblast you Woot gods! I want this shirt but cannot bring myself to buy it with the improper door handle placement. LOTR Geek + Lawyer = Inability to look past such (otherwise trivial) details.

But when you think about the physics of it, a Hobbit probably wouldn't be able to open that big of a door with its know in the middle!

In the Hobbit/LOTR world, yes, it's misplaced. But try to see it as part of the Family Circus world of doorknob placement and it fits...(At least that's what I keep repeating in my head when I see the off center knob...)
