Did WOOT quit announcing the guest editor each week ?

Tune in Sunday to find out.
Tune in Sunday to find out.
Ok...just wondering. I haven't heard much about them lately.
nimrond wrote:I don't really understand why it shouldn't. Could you enlighten me?
Woot usually doesn't print "kick 'em in the nads" humor.
This one is obviously on the right side of the good taste line
Re: Turtle Ninja RESUB
How is this not a comic book rule violation?
Aside from the made-up-ness of the word, this is a fun little pun and I like the design too. Especially the chill look to that turtle and how ruffled the owls look that he's up there.
nick9980 wrote:How is this not a comic book rule violation?
Were the TMNT actually a comic book? Or just a cartoon?
Oh come on... Jack will never run from a scare off. >
It's still clever
Re: Naughty Nerds
The perspective on the woman in the middle is a little strange. She's considerably foreshortened, like a typical comic book hero pose, but since she's not that much taller than the women next to her, who don't appear to be foreshortened at all, it feels out of place.
Interesting take on the theme this week Fu.
Re: Nighttime Needlework Noel
Text? I thought things in the shape of letters were ok?
matthewroche wrote:I know I'm missing something obvious, but how do I vote?
You have to have bought a shirt from shirt.woot before in order to vote on the derby entries.
Re: Nine Lives
This is so cute. :D
Maybe Woot should just make a separate shirt section just for cats. Let's face it... no matter the derby theme...THERE ARE ALWAYS CATS!!!
Re: Ninjas vr Norsemen
Outlanders! Mutants! Guns!... I started watching that show this fall. I love this!
Wow..... Never ceases to amaze me.
writermist wrote:Maybe Woot should just make a separate shirt section just for cats. Let's face it... no matter the derby theme...THERE ARE ALWAYS CATS!!!
AGREE 100%!! This is why I have pretty much stopped coming to the derby, always cats and they're always in the fog. Don't get me wrong, I'm a cat person but enough already
Thanks everyone! :D
runnerfrog13 wrote:Were the TMNT actually a comic book? Or just a cartoon?
It was a comic book in the early eighties that become the cartoon in the late 80s... The comic was much darker that the cartoon... The ORIGINAL movie was actually based on the comic, not the cartoon...
This is not me snuffing out this awesome shirt which I would likely buy... this is me being a comic nerd.
Re: Never - 12th
Would you please stop entering these. the rules clearly say no text and you entered the same thing 3 times. you need to remove them so you don't clutter the derby
Re: Numerous Neckties on a Nerd
good use of the color cream

you crack me up.....
great design! hopefully it gets printed!
twiliteoni wrote:I think these designs would work better as individual shirts instead of 4 dog noses stacked like they are. You could do a whole line of dog breed "nosey" shirts! I would buy one for sure if you made a scruffy black dog
Ok let me know breed you're looking for. They were originally seperated. But I wanted to give this design more variety.
Re: Ninja Nightmare
Gotta be the Milk Mans kid... Great design!
My advice would be if you want to pursue a career in the art world, don't.
Re: Nine Days of Noel
On the ninth day of Noel, my true love gave to me...
9 Cats Lives (Cat = Neko)
8 Noisy Notes
7 Nurses Nursing
6 Nomming Elves
5 Nachos Necklaces
4 Ninja Newts
3 Nuzzling Narwhals
2 Nutcrackers a crushing
And a Nerd in Newton's Laws.
Re: Ninja Nemesis
Wonderful! Need this one, yes I do...
Stunning!! I would love to wear this.
Re: Nearly Nine Notable Noses
i really dont get why this wasn't taken down for stealing artwork
Yeah, I really like this one too... Needs Bert's removable nose though... ;)
Time to ruin children's lives.
One color on black.
runnerfrog13 wrote:Text? I thought things in the shape of letters were ok?
It was a stretch on my part. I thought it might get rejected. It said that things in the shape of the letter N were ok, I kinda hinted at the other letters, but enough that it was the letters themselves. All well.

Not unless there is some sort of proof, why don't you post some examples of what you are talking about?

Riiiight... that is a rehosted image of RandyOtter's work. So, I do not see your point. RandyOtter is rather an established artist in the t-shirt design--hells, let's just say online illustration/design, period--world. He has a very particular style and is well-respected as a non-plaigarist (amongst other things, like being just plain awesome at what he does). Go ahead and google his username. We'll wait.
((Ohhhhh!!! Are you trolling?! If so, well-played! You actually got me. ))
This one has been around awhile. Randy Otter submitted it to Threadless last month. It's clearly Randy's trademark style. Someone just grabbed it and posted it to whatever site you linked.
What was going on last week with your Dr. Mario entry that got rejected? I call sour grapes.
Re: Goddess of the Sky
It's a shame this isn't doing better. The colors, the textures, the composition! It looks all abstract, but it's quite representational. I just love it, and I wish I could wear it.
