As I said, I like the design. If it were printed, I'd get one for the 6 yo, because she wouldn't see 'nonexistent', she'd see a fairy and she adores fairies. She knows they aren't real, and likes them anyway.

it's also worth noting that I had all of the layers for the puddle in a group with a layer mask the shape of the puddle. That way I didn't have worry about how the colors overlapped and could work pretty quickly.

Thanks a lot for that. I tried doing a nyan cat design in a similar fashion with the halftones, but they looked nowhere near as crisp as yours. I might have to go back and try again with those tips in mind.

Color blending is always a pain for me, so I wonder if it's a matter of not overlaying them right (or also picking hues that don't blend right)
