A wrestler, Booker T, said it all the time. "Don't hate the playa, just hate the game." A google search shows its also an Ice-T song. I don't know which came first. Or if some other source predates both.

One site said the origin of the saying was "ur mom."

Too many folks hate on the GM, there will be no game. But hate 4th Ed. all you want. There are other game systems, or you could just play one of the older, more fun editions.

Oh, I just assume the love/hate relationship of the GM is partly innate... or some unsaid RULE.

Honestly, disappointed with this shirt. Most woot shirts are a lot wittier. I can only assume that Alan Ashcraft has never actually played and RPG to have come up with something so generic. If I wanted something that desperately panders to “nerd” culture while simultaneously showing a complete lack of identification with said subculture, I’d watch Big Bang Theory.

Agreed on the fourth edition hate but sadly, can't hate the GM.. I married him. Doesn't stop me from trying to piss him off as often as possible when we play though.

(except now since we're teaching the youngest to play her first RPG... After The Bomb. It's a Palladium system so we're doing all the character sheet work and helping with dice rolls and all that but she's getting the RP part of RPG under her belt.)

AWESOME... I have a little 1.7 year old girl I am chomping at the bit to introduce gaming to... heh... got a few years I suppose but that GEEK DAD book has a RPG chore xp chart I already have my wife on board with!
