Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?
If you see the Hobbit, skip the HFR. I saw it both ways, and much preferred the "traditional".
Silver Linings Playbook refuses to open locally, I've seen Hitchcock so hobbits it is. Just a hairy toe ahead of Lincoln.
Les Mis...duh.
You forgot Les Mis.

Ditto!

HFR? Also "This is 40?"
What about Zero Dark Thirty?

Can't tell if troll or not... High Frame Rate. Peter Jackson filmed The Hobbit at 48 FPS rather than 24. This is 40: Spin-off of Knocked Up. Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann, Judd Apatow.

FWIW, I've not heard of "High Frame Rate" before, not have I heard of a single movie named in this thread. I mean, I've heard of The Hobbit and I was vaguely aware that there was a movie coming out because there have been a bunch of Hobbit-themed shirts lately, but a lack of knowledge of "HFR" doesn't make someone a troll.
Yeah, I'm a dittohead too. Want to see this one!
Gf and i just got in from watching Les Mis 2 minutes ago. ...just hand them the oscar now. i've yet to see Django though!
LE MIS!
Les Mis!
Les Mis...
Husband and I are on the Le Mis bandwagon for this weekend.
Is there anything showing besides Les Mis and the Hobbit? I want to see them both, but first is Les Mis.
Have seen Lincoln. It was great. Would like to see all listed, but time and funds permit only spending $ on what our family calls "theatre-worthy"... therefore- The Hobbit or Les Mis. The rest I'll wait until rental or Netflix.
LES MIS!!!!
Le Mes
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
Huh Jack Reacher: Killing Floor... Duh!
Les Miz of course!
Holding out for Texas Chainsaw 3D!
Les Mis , going today.
Haven't seen Les Mis myself, but picked my son and three of his friends up the other night when they saw it. They said it "restored their faith in humanity" and "best movie EVER!!!!" SO, for whatever that's worth, I suppose it's a good movie.
Saw the Hobbit in 3D w/ 48fps, wasn't really impressed, 2D might've been better for me. There were some "hey look at the fancy 3D cinematography we can do" points where it was just a distraction from the movie for me.
The Hobbit is wonderful if you love fantasy, Lincoln is fantastic if you love history or politics, Django is great if you love Tarantino movies. Or go see all 3, and be happy like me. :-D
Les Miserables!!! Of course!!
Les Mis....how could you miss that one?
ARGO!!!! Excellent film.
Troll, that's funny. If he said 3d it would have been obvious. Though I like the things filmed at high rates, don't know why some frown at it. Though I suppose it is mostly action ones that bother. And great, another raunchy comedy that could still be called that if you cut half the film. Woooo.
Great year for movies. I've seen and enjoyed the following: Argo The Sessions Lincoln Silver Linings Playbook Skyfall Les Mis was my least favorite. Have yet to see Django and Life of Pi...
Django was so intense, worth every penny. "The D is silent." Although I do want to see Les Miserables.
Les Mis
Les Miserables was amazing--but if musicals aren't your thing, Django Unchained was excellent as well. Personally, I'd like to see Hitchcock.
Les Misérables. Hugh Jackman was brilliant!! So was Anne Hathaway. Russell Crowe...not so much.
Silver Lining Playbook wasn't in my top 4, but I was overrruled and enjoyed it much more than I expected to.
