Remember when the Double Take Derby used to have printed winners getting way more than 270 votes? They would get around 1000. Remember when we would have discussions of our predictions of what would be printed as Editor's Choices? Sigh.... The shirt woot good old days. It's just not as fun any more.

I do miss the these are the honorable mentions you should print discussions.

So, let's go:

OdysseyRoc's While Giants Mark Time
One of Jasneko's Recycle T-shirts
On Caffeine
Owl Nouveau
Patterns of Night
And I really love the coloring of Give Me Another Drink, though I don't think I'd wear it

Still hoping rasabi's Victory Through Chaos sneaks into third so I can have a new personal motto ; )

As to the votes deficit...I'm still voting. That's the only one I can control. The lower numbers do put me in mind of the days of columns full of multiple sham account padding votes accusations : )

Merry Christmas shirtwoot!

And notice these forums, overall, aren't even as active as they used to be? So many of the old shirt woot population has left.

With every change that gives folks a reason to discontinue purchasing, the community shrinks. The price, the blanks, the site redesign, the QC ... all those are factors.

A year ago, the weekly reckoning discussion had 58 posts. This last week, 19.

How's about lower prices and quality blanks? *wish*wish*

It's also hard to vote when I know I won't be buying the shirt on Anvil.

Yeah yeah - just because I haven't bought any shirts here in the past 10 days, it doesn't mean the sales dropped that much ...

Really, my point was that the "community" is a mere shell of its former self, and that includes the derbies.

No room for chit-chat in those scenarios.

my thought process is:

1. See
2. Like
3. Flame woot for not selling shirt on AA blank
4. Leave

And they're not rolling over to please you? Hard to imagine.

My speech is not parsing. I am speaking in ellipsis.
