Re: Infinite Dog
This is so simple and elegant, but totally funny and full of character. I'd want one!
oakenspirit wrote:Hey guys... Wife just suggested something and I don't know if I should take this one down and resubmit... Is this cooler with a starfield or TOO BUSY?
It's nice with the stars. Definitely adds something. Your call.
Re: Tessellating Dice
while killer, they normally qualify numbers as text
Funny enough, I was going to do a dice design. Glad I didn't, cause this one would've beat mine completely. Great work!
excellent work!
Re: Escher's Jail
Love how clean the whole design is. Great job!
Re: eschirt
reminds me of the will wheaton shirt
Re: spatial structure
4 colors on black
Re: Reflection of what was
Cute . I really like the blue and brown color combo!
toby8915 wrote:while killer, they normally qualify numbers as text
Oh no! He's right, numbers = text! Quick resub! This is by FAR the best shirt entry so far and I want it to print so bad (being a dice gamer and engineer)
Re: Drawing of a Thing I Built
Nice toenails.
oakenspirit wrote:Love the retro-future look of this!
thanks a lot
Oh, dread. Well, I'm still waiting to see if it's considered printable. If it gets rejected, I'll resubmit. Here's a look at the all Photoshop version, for those who are interested. Click to embiggen.
Re: Milton and His Magnificent Mobius Mustache
cool! Love the style
Re: Tesseract to the Soul
Wow! This is SO GOOD. I like how you used one of his works that less people are probably going to use. It's so well done! I love it. Definitely have my vote.
Re: Finally we meet
I really wanted to do a play on this Escher piece but couldn't figure out how to do it. Well done for doing it successfully! I think this is GREAT.

Thanks so! I am posting a new version with stars... If it catches up with this one, I'll kill this one off.
Re: Tesseract to the Stars
Alternate version with starfield. Please revote! I will remove the one with less votes tonight.

Thanks Orabbit ! I started this 25 years ago and was stoked to be able to finish it for this Derby !
I feel a great disturbance in the woot, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

*snickering out loud* This showcases what happens every time I hit a nail in real life.
This needs a resubmit!!
Dude! Very well done. :^)
Very clever, love it. Good luck Naolito!
Re: Platonic Love
D'oh indeed. The name is a play on the Platonic Solids, if you didn't catch it.
nothing to see here...
orabbit wrote:nothing to see here...
I was hoping I would catch you before you did the resub. I wanted to suggest that you place some hieroglyphics on the dice instead of the text. Great job !!!
flattopfrank wrote:I was hoping I would catch you before you did the resub. I wanted to suggest that you place some hieroglyphics on the dice instead of the text. Great job !!!
I believe that's still considered text. Escher was known to draw unadorned dodecahedrons and such, so it still works for me, although the D&D angle is less obvious.
I love this! I'd love it even more on a colored shirt...
Re: Striped Tiger
Nicely done! The Escher print this riffs off of is one of my favorites. I love how the eyes and stars are the same color.

I can dig it.
I'm really glad you got your resub in during the early part of the derby - it would have sucked to not have a chance because of a late submission due to the rejectionator on your prior entry. Well done! Love the colors too.
Re: Impossible Music
Hmm, I wonder how to play... Two colors on white.
shikausstan wrote:It looks like the Phoenix(es?) are popping out of acorns. If I light an Acorn on fire can I have a pet Phoenix?
Yes. Squirrels have known this for years, so they hoard acorns not only for food but as a preventative measure. Phoenixes have a terrible habit of burning down squirrel homes. You have to set it on fire just the right way though.
