Your avatar is strangely similar to the Sheepicorn.

It always feels nice to come home...

Sorry, but it seems like if it happened in the 90's it can be legitimately called "90's". Just because something was most popular in a particular decade doesn't mean that if it was popular in another decade it can't be from both.

Is U2 and 80's band, a 90's band, or a 00's band? I'd say all three. In the case of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (or Sorcerer's Stone in the US), it was at the top of the fiction best seller's list for much of 1999, so it was part of 90's culture, even if only at the tail end.

Fretting over whether something was more popular later seems like splitting some pretty fine hairs for a set of rules so wide open to interpretation.

Woot - this is a horrible topic. Who's coming up with these ideas? No offense to any of the artists but there isn't one shirt I'd wear. The topic sucks, not the designs (well some designs suck). Hope next week is better.

Wow, agree. This is good, I stand corrected. So far down the list, I didn't even see it. But as you know, if certain artists(LOL) had drawn(ROFL)this, it would be in the fog. Or maybe it just needs a cat. I will give my vote to this shirt.

I'm surprised not to see references to X Files, Millennium, Total Recall, Deep Space Nine, Babylon 5, Voyager, etc.

After seeing your earlier comment, I couldn't not see it that way anymore.

The Gestalt idea gave me a different option, though, so I'm removing this one and resubbing, hoping that I can get most of the votes back again...

Let's try this one more time.

I think I'm actually much happier with this version, as the phonetic spelling works in my favor now.

Hopefully I can get back a day's worth of votes, since we're only 32 hours or so in...

Thank you so much!

The problem with the previous one (that I couldn't un-see after it was pointed out) was that my abbreviation, and my over-doing the paint job, made "Shank" look like "SKANK" ... not good.

Thanks again, and best of luck to you!

I do like this idea.... but like many other submissions I am not sure how well it will do outside of the 90's derby.....

While I like the design, and I do get the reference just by looking at it, I feel like the stapler isn't iconic unless it's a red stapler

Something coming out in the last year of a decade hardly qualifies as representing that decade as its effect would largely be felt the following year.
