Thanks, oakenspirit. You make a good point. I will change those.

Well, if you take a look at my art, you can see that I am also quite serious about artwork. Thanks.

Re: Non-Euclidean Geometry

For the record, I've used actual no-Euclidean geometry here, namely hyperbolic. The spheres are just a triangle inside a square inside a pentagon, ad naseum, with hyperbolic geometry applied. And that purple thingy is my version of a hyperbolic manifold. Creative license in hand, of course.

I think each of these labels could be a shirt on its own. I'd vote for all of 'em!

Re: NUKE THE MOON!

True story - In 1957, America was afraid that the Russians were going to nuke the moon. They didn't, but it got them thinking, "What if WE nuke the moon instead and scare the bejesus out of the Russians?" I'm still waiting...

It looks like a two-phase transformer, maybe 12 or60KV to 4KV.
Then someone added some cute gauges, presumably after draining the oil out of the transformer. I worked in old electric substations and saw some real antiques still doing their jobs.

tomspc wrote:You should always be ready with a resub. I think they see your name and reject. lol

Thanks,

Sometimes, I wonder how right you might be, but I suspect it has more to do with some folks on rejectionator duty taking tattles at face value, with little research, and others dig a little more (and thus, allow a little bit more). Either way, I just try to adjust and move on.

This time, I *did* have a second version ready, just in case, though I hated having to add the text. I like both, but I like the subtlety of not explaining a joke.

Re: Dihydrogen Monoxide Control Labs

Hmmm...

I'd say someone missed the point. Penn and Teller are a little cruel with how they use the DHMO thing, and their schtick is being "arseholish" with their jokes. Even so, DHMO is (as Dave pointed out) a pretty old joke.

The wikipedia article traces it back to 1989, but I know my freshman Chem prof in 1986 included DHMO on a test as trick question.

Thanks! I think Doc Frankie pulled the internals out of it to create the Frankimator.
