Love it! Maybe the writing could be a little larger so it's easier to see

I really like how creepy this looks, and beautiful at the same time. Nicely done

Welcome back to the mix.
There's a new demographic since you last submitted, so let's hope you see the proper appreciation.

That's great to hear. I saw a couple of the pervious weeks derbies and wished I had made something so I made up for it by doing this week. Hopefully I can continue submitting again and have people like yourself that enjoy my work

Thanks!

Nice! I saw yours when I was about halfway through mine. Seems like a lot of people had the same idea this time.

Awesome design, however I think it'd be better if the village pastries were holding kitchen utensils like a butcher knife or a cookie cutter

If you didn't sputter with indignation each time Woot acted in a way that you disagreed with, it would be much less comical that you're now using their designation as validation.

Srsly.

The textures on this are really good at invoking the feel of the ocean. I like the look of it.

taylor1313 wrote:Love it!!!! Actually looks like an artistic piece unlike too many of the other shirts that get posted here that are absolutely ghastly and somehow get tons of votes. I'm starting to wonder how people actually vote and what exactly they are looking for in a shirt. It's a shame so many awesome, creative shirts get ignored and the ones that rise to the top are over-used ideas that look horrible as shirts.

Thanks! I noticed it as well, I know my stuff isn't the best, but I know that some of the top voted designs wouldn't translate well into shirts but for whatever reason some get voted up while other don't.

deborah11565 wrote:I agree with you on the fog picks... go check out the community and you will see how most of these have worked out. This shirt is very creative and original, a nice change ! But... in my opinion, I would have liked to have seen a bit more definition in her face, on this design.
+1

I appreciate the feedback! I didn't want to draw too much attention to her face but I can see how something in the background or maybe even lips would have ground the image more.

Re: In Search of Lost Time

Haha, no proust love? I originally had this on a baby blue background which made the image standout more, but the 6 color rule did me in.

In case it needs clarification, this design was meant to portray Proust's feeling of overwhelming joy after he had tea and madeleines his aunt had made him. It was meant to be childish and joyful to demonstrate the innocence and joy of childhood, which was a part of his experience while eating.
