To meme or not to meme, that is the question...

ah, if only it were a squirrel...and at first, from a distance, with the spotlight effect, I thought it was a belated Groundhog's Day reference. Hello, after midnight.

Just trying to understand his motivations. Nice play on words here.

Alas, poor Donald!
I knew him, Dale, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy.
He hath bore me on his back a thousand times, and now how abhorr'd in my imagination it is!
My gorge rises at it.

Wait. Weren't Chip 'n' Dale© chipmunks?

EDIT: Oh, I guess they titled it with the meme title. Sure ain't no chipmunk though.

Me, too. But given that the "chipmunk" in the video is actually a prairie dog and therefore looks a lot like a groundhog, I think we can be excused. "Dramatic chipmunk" just sounds cuter than "dramatic prairie dog."

Third on the belated Groundhog's Day reference. If I get it, that'll be the story I'm sticking to.

Oddly reminiscent of the cover for Let's Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson (aka The Bloggess)

Exactly! For that reason alone I considered purchasing this shirt, but it will never fully compare to Hamlet von Schnitzel.

People need to stop jumping to conclusions.

A meme, dramatic chipmunk, portraying one of the most instantly recognizable dramatic monologues?

Geee, no one could have EVER thought that up. The person who made the Bloggess' hamster must have been the first person EVER to put something in the pose of the Yorick speech.

Coincidence is coincidence.

jokesbyjen

I really don't think this was coincidence at all... yes, a combination of things, but CLEARLY taking a pre-existing concept and turning it into graphic form. Really, I don't see how this is okay or "coincidence."

I'd be dramatic too if I was that god-awful ugly of a chipmunk. Man, he fell from the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Nice and all.. but 1) it's a bit late to the party and 2) the Dramatic Jackalope was better.
