If this didn't have the falling fox, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. He looks so scared

I actually think the falling fox is what makes this shirt so great, especially when you see the one holding the scissors.

If the falling fox looked surprised or confused, I'd agree. Or even comically scared, really. It is an excellent shirt, but for me, the expression on the falling fox's face makes it a no go. Still, congrats to fablefire!

(It might also be the case that, because I'm having a glum type of day, I'm bothered by it when I normally wouldn't be... I may love it to pieces tomorrow :P)

Quick! Do a barrel roll!

Actually, the face on the falling fox is exactly what makes me want to buy this shirt even though I really shouldn't! Oh ShirtWoot! Why must you tempt me so!?

I'd love to be clued in on what video game this is, if anyone's willing.

Congratulations on two prints in one week, Fable! They're both cute and disturbing at the same time, much like toddlers.

Star Fox. One of my son's favorite games. They did a lot of fun talking to each other in the game:

Had a great theme song too.

Eartha Kitt made that franchise come alive. Still watch those movies (and the series) whenever I need a pick me up. Thanks for the late night laugh.

Thanks everyone! What an awesome surprise tonight. :D

@neuropsychosocial - Thanks! And finally, someone agrees with me about toddlers.

@pedmunds86 - Thanks!

@mattryan - A handful. We had to get the "falling with style" thing down. And same here! I love that movie. Eartha Kitt was awesome and the dynamics between her and Patrick Warburton were great. XD

Surprised this made it w/o being disqualified. Definitely too close to the other shirt to be considered original imho.

Geeze, that's a bit accusatory. That other shirt was over two years ago. It's really not that far outside the realm of possibility that he's never seen it (I haven't) and just happened to come up with a similar idea. Calling it a rip-off implies that he maliciously copied that other design.

Given Fables record for originality and pure awesomeness, the haters just need to take their cyanide pills and quit their whining.

I know I have been critical of the shirt.woot write ups before, and today is no different.

On a scale of α to ι this write up is a 1.618033988. It perfectly matches the introduction of the Super "MARIO" FX chip, to Pandora's box, to the great shirt by fablefire. It is well written, clear, and historically and mythically accurate. What more can you ask for?

I see what you did there. XD

Gotta say, the adorable "Wheeeeeeeeeee!" expression on the falling fox's face really sells it for me. It's a squee-worthy shirt with enough inside puns to make it nerd-worthy, too. Love it.

$10 turned into $12 and AA turned into meh blanks. To the casual observer these events seemed to coincide with the exodus pretty well.

It's not "hating" to call out a design that is EXTREMELY similar to another. (the only words I can use to describe people that call people "haters" would be filtered. Please take the cyanide pill you suggest others take or never say anything again as you've proven yourself incapable of not saying something completely inane.)

That's not what I was trying to say. The basic concept and joke are completely different. The look is really similar. I think it's toeing the line for "similar shirts exist" but not a rip off. This is a Star Fox reference, How It Really Works is simply a joke about the murder involved in a falling star.

ETA - if this shirt were on AA, I'd buy it in a heartbeat and put it in heavy wear rotation, right there with How It Really Works. I just saw too close of a visual similarity, had to say something.

American Apparel. That was the company that used to supply the shirt blanks to woot. They now use Anvil. Some like AA, some like Anvil.
