PNG all the way, JPG files lose a little bit of quality every time I edit and save.
PNG wins. JPG doesn't even know what an alpha channel is.
I don't see why they have to compete. I mean they both have their purpose and uses and pros and cons. Can't we all just get along? ;P
Anyone who knows chooses PNG. Choosy moms choose GIF.
Depends on what I'm using it for. An original or anything I may edit again, PNG. A final product, if I need it reduced in size, I can use JPG.
PNG for any real use that isn't saving a photographic image for the web.
