I've attached an amended version based on some of the common critique I've received. I know I've seen a few others do this, so I'm hoping it's cool?

Interesting. Now when another artist used the evolution chart and I called him out for "not his art", I was informed that the evolution chart has been used over and over and over therefore it is no one's art and can be used. The human body picture has been in every biology book I've ever seen therefore the art doesn't belong to anyone. Not sure why it was rejected. Or is this just more of the same old double standard crap?

There is a difference between drawing your own human body artwork and live tracing someone else's human body artwork. To a trained eye this is pretty obvious as a live trace. I called it out because of that very reason. Had it not been traced and had it been drawn from scratch I would not have called it out and it would not have been rejected. Great concept but sketchy execution. Also this artist has actually won a derby before so I wonder if you can claim double standard. Maybe you can say there should be higher standard from a winner.

I agree about a higher standard. This artist's previous win wasn't very original either. I think tracing or live drawing someone else's work is not art. Too many people in here get away with not being original. Lately I've seen a lot of recycling of previously submitted designs. Sad.

The shirt looked very pedestrian when viewed as a thumbnail, but once I clicked and opened it I was instantly in love. This shirt HAS to win. Definitely not enough non-holy grail Python references made, ever.
