Guys, I know this bothers you as much as it bothers me. Someone grabs a Shirt.Woot design and puts it for sale somewhere else. Sometimes A LOT of Shirt.Woot designs. We want to make sure our artists are getting properly paid and credited for their work. We have a good legal team who want the same thing.
I was pointed to a site this morning that (again) has a lot of our designs for sale. It started with one, but after a little browsing it's snowballed into a lot more than that. We have to compile a good bit of data on each design to hand off to our legal team, and that can be very time consuming. I feel like if we work together as a community we can get these kind of situations resolved for our artists a lot quicker.
So, I'm asking you, the community, that when you find a Shirt.Woot design being sold elsewhere that you post the link here. If you want to go a step further to help us expedite the process, you can post it in this format:
- Daily Design Name
- Artist Username
- URL to the design on our site
- Date originally ran
- Link to the design on the other site
- Derby Design Name
- Artist Username
- URL to the design on our site
- Date originally submitted to the derby
- Link to the design on the other site
We take this seriously and want to make sure our artists are taken care of quickly. Anything you can do to help us and our artists is very much appreciated.
