Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Have had one bobbling on top of my hat all winter; took me awhile to get used to getting into the car with it. But fun.

IIRC, it's there to help prevent heat loss, not just for decoration. Still, not stylish these days.

How does that help?

I always thought it was a way to deal with ending the knitting.

I have one on my Jane Cobb hat and it belongs there, but honestly I could take it or leave it.

Yay for Jane!

I have several bobbly topped hats, including one that has Rastafarian style dreds. Fun hats rock!

My speech is not parsing. I am speaking in ellipsis.

Yep. It's there to hide the "seam nexus". That or a reservoir tip (different knitting technique)

+1 for one on my Jayne hat but otherwise I don't wear them.

Have to agree with this. If a hat is properly cunning, it can totally rock the fuzzy ball...otherwise it shouldn't be worn by someone over the age of 7.
