Poll: The best robots are:
  • 34.3% - Androids, indistinguishable from humans. 331
  • 18.1% - Fully articulated man-machines, like Cleatus the FOX Sports football 'bot. 175

Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I voted for the clunky classics. But whatever the case, just remember this one phrase: Klaatu barada nikto.

Well, hard to argue that...although if kev(lar51)bots lack the printed hordes, they win at whimsy

Where is the Robbie Lee and Kevlar option? I find this poll to be insufficient to express my love of 'bots.

The best robots are on the surface of Mars and have a sarcastic attitude.

I've seen a couple episodes and it might be the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life. The "robots" can't even support their own weight. They are metal sculptures at the end of a long support strut that moves and powers them. They have spark shooters and exposed fluid tubes that trigger when they bang into each other for pyrotechnic display. All the characters are basically identical aside from looks, they have arms that can wiggle around to smack each other with. That's it.

It's like a pro wrestling version of engineering. It's all flash and no substance.
