Conflict. Combat. Contention. It's seen humans at their worst, and inspired some of the most sublime human artistic creations. Well, you don't have to go that far this week. A cool t-shirt design is enough. Think more like Bugs Bunny saying "of course you realize, this means war" rather than Full Metal Jacket. It can be funny, historical, cute, heartfelt, serious, whatever... BUT know that we won't hesitate to reject anything we find insensitive or in poor taste.

No text-only designs.

No cats, Star Wars, Doctor Who, or Mario.

No cranberry tees.

So what's the deal on cranberry tees? They are my favorite. Supplier troubles?

No cats, star wars ir dr who?

Thats pretty much a declaration of war against woot contributors.

Why not go full nuclear and ban bunnies too?

Anti-War is war related, so go for it.

I love these rules but the sad thing is people will still make designs with text-only, cats, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and Mario and not get rejected.

Of course, you can design an anti-war tee. It can be whatever you want (within the rules above).

I'm pretty sure talented artists who don't like violence have always been around, so they can't really be blamed for ruining society these days. You need to look for more modern phenomena. I, for instance, blame baconnaise.

I believe you are right. the mere thought of Baconnaise has driven me to fantasize about violent acts against condiments and those conceited little bottles they come in... Dijonnaise, on the other hand calms my rage with cool mustardy creamy goodness :-)

I would like to possibly use this derby as a debut for my attempts at artwork. While, I believe I am nowhere near the competency or quality of regular Wooters, I would like to try for it anyway and see how things work out. Any advice for an upcomming derbyer would be very much appreciated. Thanks and good luck all!

P.S. what are cranberry Tees?

LOL

They actually made a "No Cats" rule?

too bad... i wanted to make a cat vs dog shirt. Oh well.

though I'm surprised with this topic they didn't ban ninjas and pirates.

Can't wait to sub this. Tried to go for a really loose, energetic, but kinda sketchy/experimental style.

That is really fun! Spy plane vs Spy tank. :D

Remember to put it on red or green or something, Woot retired orange a while back.

Hey, so this theme isn't strictly just military war, it could be any kind of heated conflict?

That's a red. You need to calibrate your monitor, lol. But it will be on woot's red when I sub.

K- went for the firefly Battle of Serenity Valley...

Any suggestions?

Sheriff's star or Heart?

Star is cool but heart plays off of "Take my love, take my land..."

Ah, cool. The Woot red is so much darker I thought you'd picked orange from the old palette set. :p T'is my eyes' fault.

Good luck with this one.

Heh!

(More serious answer: cranberry isn't a standard Anvil color and Woot procrastinated on ordering more stock.)

I'm glad they would. I grew up on spy vs spy...one of the early reasons I wanted to be an illustrator, growing up. I would have worn this design then or now.

Also, thanks for all the nice words everyone.
