What lack of text? Those are pristine original D&D dice before anyone colored in the numbers. A collector's treasure!

Congrats on the print Orion!

Oh, I'm so glad this printed (and with the numbered die!). It epitomizes the Escher-esque Derby with its linework, the little bit of trompe l'oeil, shading, and color. Congratulations, Orabbit!

For those who don't remember: Orabbit submitted this to the Escher-esque Derby with numered die and it was rejected because it was a no-text Derby. He resubmitted without numbers on the die and fogged. I'm glad to see woot print the original design.

The detail and shading in this piece of art are fantastic!

Hey now! With numbers, as nature intended. What a nice surprise! Thanks, editor(s).

BTW, if you're wondering about the title, it's a reference to the Platonic solids.

Shame the love isn't mutual. If only the dice had rolled 1 4 3.

Wait what? This one doesn't glow in the dark... Now I'm all confuzzled. ;P

Very nice. Love me some Escher homage art work. I took a turn at Escher homage art work once, way back when I used to have time to draw...

Every week my co-worker and I roll a D20 to see who buys lunch. Winner picks where to eat, loser pays and has to pick it up. I think I'm up about 4 free lunches.

Spot check! You see a really cool and cleverly designed shirt. Roll initiative to see when this sells out today.

What's with the weird numbering on the d20? I thought the rule of dice was that two opposing sides had to equal the die size +1.

..Now my head hurts trying to apply that to a d4.

Oddly enough, the die I used for reference didn't follow that convention. Some sides add up to 21, but others add up to 14, 20, 24 or 26. Now that I look, only one style of my d20's consistently add to 21. The rest are all over the place. I never thought to look at that. Knowing is half the battle!

Geek and math and art - that's exactly why I think this is so appealing. And I love the colors.

Please vote...thank you!

Good to see a pick from the Escher Derby. Exquisite detail + dice coloring that almost makes me feel the texture.
