Color mix adds to the cheerfulness.

I blame this show for all the money I've spent on my reading addiction!

Here is some fun facts

This really was a great show. I will be trying to explain how awesome it was to future kids, but I know they won't get it. Thanks for the memories!

Love the tee- one's on its way to my house!

The description is epically awesome... but I think y'all needed to use "prolly" instead of "probably". Just sayin'. :P

Yay! I'm glad someone posted the original song, that's the one I remember!!!

I was looking at the small pic on the main Woot! site and I was like... what is that? Is that a butterfly.

Then the theme song started playing in my head as I clicked on it... then I discovered... yeah that actually IS what the shirt is about.

Finally! I was just putting all my laundry away today and made a comment about how many black shirts I have, and that I needed more colors. Thanks for spying on me, Woot!

I'm a 4th grade teacher and occasionally just start singing this song - at first my students were a bit alarmed, but now they just join in and we all sing it together (yes, my classroom can be a goofy place!). They will LOVE it when I wear this!

Is this shirt LeVar Burton approved? I can't buy it otherwise.

As I was reading that write-up, I felt like the guy in the suit with the four little kids on the AT&T commercials. All I could think at the end was "I follow you." followed by "Rawr, rawr, rawr....I wish I was a Woot writer."

I love Reading Rainbow and very clever shirt, but I can't wear a shirt with a huge rainbow across the chest. People might get the wrong idea, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Do you even have spell check, Woot?

I have a fat unicorn , and it is the exact same color palate as this. I got it in a random, and the design is on a blue shirt.

Don't get me wrong... I love this shirt and I totally get it. I would just wonder what impression people who didn't get it would have...

A grown man walking around with a huge rainbow on his shirt...

Not that that is a problem... Just a thought...

This will be a good shirt to go with ... http://shirt.woot.com/offers/illiterate-rainbow

or to wear for pride XD

Yes, I'm always waiting for that one to show up in a plus sale!

Im a fan of rainbows.

With that said, this shirt doesn't need any of the text. The pictures alone say it all. Which is an ironic departure from "reading"...

I woulda jumped on the shirt if all the text was eliminated. but no. oh well.

now i will patiently wait for the Fat Unicorn (thx chimunga) to be cheapo.

Woot...please hire me to edit your generally great posts. "alot" <- that makes me cry inside...

anyway! I <3 this shirt. I still bust out this show for my students from time to time. Mostly it just feeds my nostalgia, but it's still great stuff

Me too! I sang the whole thing when I saw the shirt. Which I have now purchased. I was/am a total book junkie and used to get in trouble for shirking my responsibilities as a kid to read (things like getting ready for school, lol). This brings back so many memories!

I was laughing AND cringing through the whole write-up, which was, of course, the point.

Now (in addition to the song being stuck in my head) I can't stop thinking of LeVar Burton on Community.

I love rainbows as well, and try to wear my fat unicorn and shelf life shirt proudly. But it is hard not to feel a bit like people are going to judge you for it. Why did they have to take my rainbow!? It makes me want to run a "Keeping the rainbow straight" initiative lol. But I still really want this shirt no matter what anyone else thinks of me.

I'm glad someone else referenced this shirt. I love these! I bought this one, too. There's absolutely nothing strange about a 32-year-old straight man wearing shirts with giant rainbows across the chest.

Short story: I was on the riverwalk in San Antonio one day, and a gentleman with a clipboard was stopping people to ask them about thoughts on marriage equality. I'm wearing the rainbow illiteracy shirt, and he doesn't stop me. I decided he probably thought I'd skew the results.

Great shirt! I need another rainbow illiteracy shirt, too!

Oh. I thought it was lyrics I didn't remember from the Lenny Kravitz song.

Take a look, it's in a book, twice as high, a butterfly, I want to Flyyyyy A wayyyyyy.

Oh, God....just about the best theme song ever! I think I'm tearing up! I still believe that this is where 10% of Star Trek:TNG viewers came from...just to watch LeVar Burton!
