That was my initial reaction as well, though upon rereading the instructions it just says "What is the connection or common thread between these six shirts?"

So I guess this counts as a connection?

the shirts cost $15.00 and if you add the numbers in the ship date 7/17 that is also 15. so I am going to say 15 is the common thread.

The "tread" is the common thread. They're all made from the same type of thread or "yarn" in textile terms.

Umm... 7 + 17 = 14. Or does a slash count as a one these days?

7 + 17 = 24. I think they meant they equal 15 in that 7 + 1 + 7 = 15. Each number individually.

The theme has to do with a field of science, or all the shirts represent a movie that was in the movie theater the same year.

They are all parodies of 1970's movies:

Sleeper (1973)
Black Hole (1979)
Star Wars (1977)
Jaws (1975)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
Aristocats (1970)

Well, I was going to say the 59 minute thing... Good catch on the May the force, I see that in my browser since I opened each in a new tab...

So for another guess if those are not right, All of the shirts use the color of the shirt within their design.

Was "may the force be with you" the answer???? I don't get it. I would have said "NOTHING" they have nothing in common.

Quoting this because people can't read. Yes, it was correctly answered within minutes. I think it's a fabulous idea though and woot will just have to come up with a less obvious one next time.

Awww, and here I was thinking electromagnetism was a clever guess...
*Magnetic metal detector
*Force lightning
*X-Ray radiation
*Sharks hunt by sensing electricity
*Electric motor
*Static electricity, the main use for cats! And dogs.

Clever stuff, though! I wouldn't have noticed the titles lining up like that.

15. The shirts are all $15. The contest ends on the 15th, and the shipping date, 7/17 adds up to 15. 7+1+7......?

Unwanted...On each shirt there is something unwanted...a shark, a dog, a metal detector, a dark force, a black hole and a chainsaw if you were a tree. LOL

You must be a woot writer to be spouting that kind of nonsense.

Here:
All the letters from all the design titles appear in the sentence, "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"

Now where's my prize?
