Re: Nom Cookie

I get the "nom nom" at the bottom in blue but it kinda ruins the flow of the otherwise awesome shirt. I'd be more interested in a version without it.

Other than that, it looks great!

Re: Word Punch

Aww man, I made it through 4 passes of the rejectionator and thought I was safe! I checked a ton of sites and found that this quote wasn't trademarked. Boo.

So here's a question... Why are Monty Python and Star Wars movie quotes ok?

Putting the cookie monster "nom nom" above the cookie might work better, like he's hovering over it about to devour it.

Part of it seems to be how litigious an entity might be... star wars and monty python shirts are a dime a dozen and Woot knows they wont be getting a call from a lawyer if they print another one. You start venturing into less exploited intellectual properties and it can be a bit of a crap shoot. I've noticed that woot will print a lot more star wars than star trek shirts... they reject the trek shirts unless the parody is obvious... Star wars seems to skate unless you start throwing in actual "star wars words" like Wookiee, Tatooine, etc... With star trek, you go anywhere near that emblem and you are out.... One thing I've wondered about is now that Disney owns star wars, if that will change things moving forward... Woot steers pretty clear of disney... Anyway...my point is some intellectual properties are "safer" to exploit than others. This is all based on observation and is only my opinion.

Yea, I know. I just figured since there were over 100 fight club shirts for sale on redbubble and the rejectionator left me alone for a good 8 hours, I was in the clear. It only hurts cause I actually thought I had a shot this time.

Nothing against you, briancurtis, but this "cake is a lie" thing is really getting old. I didn't understand it, in the first place, but now it's like beating a dead horse.

A lot of these designs remind me of WordWorld. I'm not impressed with this derby, at all. And it's not just the ones that look like that.

Sorry it got rejected. It was a well done design. I just wanted to say, I wouldn't look to Redbubble for what is in the clear. There are a whole lot of people on Redbubble that get away with murder, as far as copyright goes. Some even take an image straight off the internet and paste it on a shirt. Or steal art off the internet from other well known designers or artists and try to sell it as their own. :/

Thanks! I hand wrote the cauldron but I have actually made a font of a similar handwriting style. I was working on a children's book and (mistakenly) wanted a whimsical font in it so I tried to make this one, called MAYNARD (my cat's name)... It's not amazing but anyone out there in wootland can have it for the small donation of ONE VOTE! (mwahahaha! that's a joke-)
