You keep saying you're not an artist, Mavyn, but your analysis is spot on. brighter colors, tighter kerning, and a larger bolder font would all work, and they'd work well together so you're not relying too heavily on any single technique. Anyway, I agree completely.

Thanks. I mostly mean I lack the talent critical to an artist--the ability to translate the image inside to something tangible.

My speech is not parsing. I am speaking in ellipsis.

Each part of the rich lady is a letter using very fancy fonts.

Re: Know Your Heart (Red)

This is beautiful in a scientifically graceful way!

The only thing I wish is that the design was placed off-center on the shirt so that it actually sat over the heart.

Maybe they'll put it on a hoodie and let you adjust the position? I would love a hoodie of this.

Glad you like it, sonofafish. As much as the word play and visual elements appealed to me, I did not consider enough whether it would be something people would actually want to wear on a shirt.

Interesting, but I don't think that's the issue, because nachos, bacon, and cookies are all doing well. The design is beautiful. I think what's off putting to voters (and this is just my theory) is that it reads as "cake cup." As you know, the tiniest negative detail can outweigh the positives for a voter. Anyway, don't feel bad, your lines and your colors are superb, and you'll get 'em next time!

Lack of contrast is one of my most frequent complaints. I've seen it overcome by a heavier font and/or a different background color to the font.

This would be hard to resist if printed. It's my job to make the fresh juice every morning and peeling them in one continuous length is how it's done. Great details and textures too.
