I was thinking of taking two of the granddaughters to see it a couple of weeks ago but their mom said she didn't think the youngest was quite ready, so even though they both said they wanted to see it, we went to see Walking With Dinosaurs, which was pretty good. Basically Ice Age but I felt like I was watching real dinosaurs. Then I found out mom took them last week to Monuments Men. Oh, and they had both seen Captain Phillips and I figured if they could handle that they could handle Monuments Men, but again, do what Mom says. Husband doesn't want to see it, so I'll probably go by myself.

Bedtime.

My brother, sister, and roommate went to see it Saturday night and they liked it. I spent most of the day cleaning and was too tired to leave the house, so I stayed home and watched Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation instead.

jawsuser wrote:I see them, but my brain can't always explain it clearly. I don't see details well. I see about 20/200 on a good day, but I also see multiple images.

I do have a contact that can get my vision to 20/40, but the multiple images, floaters, and glare or poor contrast makes it difficult for me to understand what I am really seeing.

The best way to explain the 20/200 is to imagine a football field. There is a sign being held at the home team's zero line. I stand at about the 7 yard line and see the sign clearly (20 feet from the sign) a person who sees 20/20 is standing at the visitors 33 yard line (about 200 feet away) and sees the sign clearly. However, I also have floaters which looks like little flies in the visual field.

And I see multiple images. The best example is if a page gets printed on twice by accident and they are offset. I see more than two images. It can make for some interesting sights. I figure if I were ever to see an alien with multiple limbs I would just figure I am having a bad eye day.

I also have tunnel vision which is like looking through a toilet paper roll or half a paper towel roll. And I have some blind spots within my field of vision.

This may be more than you wanted to know, but its the best way I can explain it.

So you see, just not clearly and distinctly? Picture descriptions are useful?

I was intentionally avoiding it. I don't watch the news if I can help it and I avoided posts from people on social networks who I know would care about it. But no one talks sports in PWA!

Marriage was not in the cards for me either. I wonder sometimes what it would be like to get to live your life twice, make different choices the second time, then look back and see which way was better. I'm guessing neither way is better, just different.

That sounds like a concept for a book or movie.

No. PWA has a looser standard but you did cross the line with the punch the face stuff.

Thanks for understanding.

I finally found Cookie Dough Oreos so we're taste testing them here.

Good but not as good as double stuffs, IMO.

Got the last 2 packages at the Walmart near the office. Had to get Peppermint Patties for my candy jar on my desk.

I've been looking near my home with no luck.

Haven't tried the Lays but seems like the salt/sweet thing might work.

I think the double stuffs are an inaccurate name. I bought triple stuffs once and they had 2 actual creme patties in the middle, which makes me think the double stuffs aren't actually double, just more.
