Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I didn't see a single movie in the theater, but I did binge out on Netflix. I'd say 'The Boy in the Striped Pajamas'. Now had you asked worst of, 'The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia' would've been my immediate answer.

At The Worlds End.
The Terror of Tiny Town (1938)

Ah, the hell with it.

Debuted in theaters this year: Iron Man 3. And I really only saw like 5 or 6 movies in theaters this year. I'm not much of a theater person.

Favorite new movie I saw this year regardless of when it was released in theaters: Rise of the Guardians.

Right now my ranking is;

1.) The World's End
2.) 12 Years a Slave
3.) Frances Ha

I only saw Tangled this year but loved it. I'm going to see Frozen when I go home for christmas (with my 6 year old niece) and know it will be a favorite! I enjoyed White House Down and Olympus has Fallen, even though I live in DC and it was a little too close to home at times!! LOL

"Now You See Me" I saw it on a whim, not usually the type of thing I enjoy - but it was awesome. I actually want to see it again (a rarity for me).

Star Trek was good.

I absolutely loved Pacific Rim. Hands down my favorite movie this year, if only because I love watching giant robots murderball giant aliens.

I also really liked Oblivion, After Earth and Star Trek Into Darkness.

Pacific Rim was just the blast I needed in a hectic summer. Really enjoyed Frozen, on the rewatch list so I can take a closer look at the animation, The World's End was fun and I laughed more/cringed less at The Internship than I expected. Still need to see The Book Thief and Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing.

Hasn't been a great movie year for me getting excited about things to see.

Good one. Sandman effects were gorgeous, need to pick it up on DVD .

Mystery. Budding romance. Poe. In The Bleak December

Frozen is top of my list (and as a general rule, disney is NOT something I like).

Other people reminded me of other great movies I saw this year: WWZ, World's End, Ender's Game...

But we just saw Frozen the other day. I walked in there thinking "this will be nice to take my four year old to see Frozen". I laughed through the whole thing and love every character (except Hans, but you're supposed to hate him - he was well done though!) For the first time, I loved to see a sort of natural sexy and vivaciousness in a female children's character (Elsa). She wasn't trying to be sexy but her sheer power and self-abandon just can't help but be truly sexy in a good role model sort of way.

Meh, none of the few I saw were all that memorable.

Did get to catch 'The Last Unicorn' that Peter S. Beagle was doing a special tour with. Great experience. Still like how I remember, but now I recognize the voice actor names. Rene Auberjonois!

Surprised how many folks have said The World's End. That is my top as well.

2) Gravity
3) Iron Man 3
4) Pacific Rim
