Yeah, it's pretty similar. I find that they don't shrink all that much, but imo it's better to go a bit bigger if you're a borderline size like I am (I'm also wishing for a large-and-a-half size, but I order women's XL to allow for shrink and comfort).
Also, I certainly wouldn't complain if you bought a bunch for work
