Suggested shirt pairing:
Bon Jovi jean jacket and/or skinny bluejeans

A good pair of jeans is part of you - just like a second skin.

Very, very clever.
I would love to see what Alejandro Hernandez might do as a sequel, maybe Dungarees????
On second thought, maybe I don't want to see that.

Good design. We have something similar in Oz supporting jeans for jeans day, a worthwhile charity

Yes.

And it's a total rip off of a design that was originally made for charity.

I would encourage people not to buy this shirt and instead donate to help kids with cancer.

http://www.wizid.com.au/images/jeans-for-genes/jeans-for-genes-logo.png

And yes, it's part of a REGISTERED trademark.

I'm hooked and I can't stop staring

I hope you mean "Jeans for Genes". But a charity to support the denim industry is something I could get behind too!

Hmm, thanks for bringing that up. Would have been cool if proceeds from this shirt.woot! could've gone to that charity though.

It wasn't a ripoff. I got the idea independently. I hate plagiarism as much as you do, it's only too bad that the concept had been carried out before but I can't expect all my ideas, especially the simpler ones to never have been thought of before.

Thanks to the other commenters for the positive comments!

Also chiming in about http://globalgenes.org/world-rare-disease-day/

One of my good friends has a son with a rare epileptic disorder, and my first thought went to them. World Rare Disease Day is Feb. 28th. Not sure if this would arrive in time for this year's celebration.

And while yes, the design is similar to http://www.jeansforgenes.org.au/

and

http://www.wizid.com.au/images/jeans-for-genes/jeans-for-genes-logo.png

I think it's a bit much to call it a total rip off. Congrats on your print!

I hate to get all science-y about it, but...

the double helix is twisting in the wrong direction. DNA is a right-handed helix, while this molecule is left handed.

Exactly... No DNA will coil like that... I will definitely be laughed at if I wear this in our department... XD

I really wanted this shirt, too, and I'm only just science-y enough to have suspected this might be the case, but I don't want to have to defend the shirt to random people who know better right off the bat. Perhaps a redux version like they did for the mouse feet on the portal shirt?

I just wish it was a true right-handed double helix...I don't want to be made fun of by other science nerds.

Looks like you need some helicase to unzip them Jeans. Just avoid the base pairs.
