Charlie Brown is well acquainted with a couple of those trees... and I see another one that the Lorax would love.

Way to go K G!
You make me want to climb a tree!

My opinion is that Pocahontas's Grandmother Willow would have been a far better representative of her species than the Grumpy version at Hogwarts.

I wonder if you could make a thneed from this shirt.

Thanks to up-to-the-minute tracking, I don't track my package so much as stalk it.

Congrats kg07!
Call me a sap, but I love that you're really starting to branch out with your designs.

Shouldn't the leaves on the Weeping Elder be red?

Number 1: The Larch

darthackbar

quality posts: 1 Private Messages darthackbar

Trying to figure out the origins of them all. Here's what I got:

The Larch: This is from a Monty Python's Flying Circus sketch, right?
Forlorn Fir: Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree
Horse Chestnut: ??
Altruistic Ash: Shel Silverstein's The Giving Tree
Sycamore Sproutling: ??
Kite Munching Maple: Charlie Brown
Puffy Poplar: Looks like something from Dr. Seuss, but I don't know if it's something specific, or just a generic Seuss tree
Heroic Hemlock: Baby Groot (Guardians of the Galaxy)
Poké-Pine: Presumably some type of Pokémon
Grumpy Willow: Whomping Willow from Harry Potter
White Oak: The White Tree of Gondor (Lord of the Rings)
Bearded Birch: Treebeard (also Lord of the Rings)
Weeping Elder: ??

#1 and #3 are both from a Monty Python sketch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ug8nHaelWtc

The Puffy Poplar is the tree from Dr. Seuss's "The Lorax."

Sycamore Sproutling and Weeping Elder are the Great Deku Sprout and Great Deku Tree, respectively, from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Poké-Pine is a Pokémon, Sudowoodo.

Weeping Elder is Grandmother Willow from Disney's Pocahontas, I think.

I can't get past the fact they used the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' font.

Before I had seen the graphic, looking at the name alone, I was certain I was going to find some of the following types in there:

Coat tree
Hat tree
Mug tree
Blouse tree
Earrings/Jewellery tree, etc.

Now that I have brought up the possibility, may be we will see a design like that.

I don't see the trees from Star Wars...

I think the missing tree is the "Crabby Apple" from Wizard of Oz!

Re: Weeping Elder
I concur, this looks to be a GOT reference.

Great Deku Tree from LOZ:OOT

Grandmother Willow from Pocahontas

Heart Tree from Game of Thrones (notice that the "Weeping Elder" in this design clearly has something flowing from the eyes)

Either way, I really appreciate this design (and the font used lol). A+

To be precise (or pedantic) the "Puffy Poplar" is a Truffula tree.

Points to PocketBrain for knowing what it's for...
