They
say humans only use ten percent of their brains. But they also say
“Hey, let’s strap three hundred whipped cream cans on this motorcycle
and jump over the house” so we find it hard to believe they. But we do
believe science, and science says we have two brains in one.
Science
tells us that one side, known as “Ray Milland”, controls the part of us
that makes things like art and religion. The other side, known as
“Rosie Grier”, handles math, logic and language. Most people favor one
hemisphere over the other, which is probably why physicists have lousy
ties and poets are horrible tippers.
Are we two creatures
joined as one? Probably not. But having this capacity for detail and
“the big picture” means we can do great things. Like designing shirts.
Or going to the moon. But mostly designing shirts. Seriously. Do the
math. We only went to the moon like seven times.
