Maybe someone would be interested in buying a shirt with an inaccurate representation of the Australian landscape, but not me! C’mon, this is crazy! Giant orbs? Rope ladders? It’s a continent, guys! Not some weird half-futuristic, half-old-fashioned mythical dreamland! Oh, and by the way, last time I checked Koalas don’t wear hats either!
I’m sorry if this seems like a bit of an overreaction; it’s just, I’m tired of the way Australia is portrayed in the media. Sure, Australians might do things a little bit differently than us. For example, they end just about every word with “doo” or “deary-doo.” And they don’t eat chicken or beef or veggies or any of that stuff, just crocodiles and shrimp. And they don’t play guitars; instead, they use those big wooden horn things to make that “music” that sounds like bees farting. But they’re still human beings!
So, c’mon, people! Let’s show some awareness in our depictions of another culture!
Wear this shirt: where women glow and men plunder.
Don’t wear this shirt: if you’re going through a rough patch with your significant other. It’s sure-fire relationship Endor.
This shirt tells the world: “I can both etok the talk AND Ewok the walk.”
