In business when something works, you do it over and over and over again until it stops working.

Hi there. Woot Writer here, uncharacteristically breaking the fourth wall to relay a story:

When I was a kid, my great-grandma would bake cookies for the holiday season. Not like, a batch. I'm talking multiple tupperware containers to each of the grandchildren. Being the chubby eight or nine year old I was, I told her I found the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies to be especially delicious. Fueled by an innate desire to deliver happiness to her great-grandson, she inundated our home with cookies. The containers piled up faster than my parents could take them into the office and disperse them. And I, like a big dumb blonde goldfish, ate as many as I could. For days. Until suddenly the cookies had lost their luster.

You see, the cookies at the time were unique and novel enough that I loved them. But by eating the same cookies over and over again they became common and, eventually, sickening. My great-grandma, in her efforts to give me all the cookies I could ever want, had made me actively dislike her cookies. Seriously. My mom still uses the recipe and to this day I can't smell them without feeling kind of queasy.

That probably has something to do with the fact that I ate so many I puked down a furnace vent on my way to the bathroom and for the rest of our time in that house the bathroom smelled like cookies, but either way the point stands.
