Starting the timer now! We are officially off the grid. I have developed the first completely self-sustaining computer rig! The environment will never be harmed by me again! I simply buy my hamster feed in biodegradable bags, feed it to Mr. Cheeky to keep him healthy and nourished so he can keep running, he spins the wheel which powers my little generator and voila! Not a single fossil fuel consumed.

“Except when you drive your car to the pet store.”

Well yeah, but…that…that doesn’t count.

“And the power plant still burns those fossil fuels despite your not using them. Except now you’re making more trips to the store because you’re going through hamster feed and wood shavings so quickly. How many balsa trees or whatever kind they use for that bedding have to die now?”

But the point is it can be done! It’s a totally self-reliant system-

“To say nothing of the dangers you’ve imposed on your hamster now that he’s gone from ‘sedentary plaything’ to ‘power source for an AlienWare gaming rig.’ Is he in any condition to actually keep this pace? It looks like you’ve overclocked your rodent already.”
