From Monday through Thursday this week, Shirt.Woot will be selling some of our favorite non-winning designs from the first few weeks of our Derby. There may be no second acts in American lives, but it turns out there are second acts in American t-shirt design competitions.
Today's design looks awfully familiar, huh? Your answer will reveal the depth of your commitment to Shirt.Woot. True devotees recognize it from our very first Derby some five long weeks ago, when it made a gallant yet fruitless run at the top spot. Sentimental old softies that we are, our hearts broke at the idea of this charming design vanishing into the murk of dimly remembered ecommerce history. And the design is heartbreaking itself, making its undeserved fate doubly heartbreaking, like if Tom Petty and Johnny Thunders played in the same band. So we snatched it from the Dumpster of oblivion and gave it new life in the Dumpster of Shirt.Woot. Same shirt, different Dumpster.
This shirt was designed by: Shannon Kaufman...aka "shan24"...freelance web designer working for a major St. Louis-based travel company by day...frequent participant in the Shirt.Woot Derby and the weekly Woot contests by night. Watch out for her. She has only begun to fight.
