Now it’s all Bowie and rock about feelings, but once upon a time there was music for skinned knees and broken wrists, music that inspired you to walk it off and try to get that vert a little higher next time, music that had lyrics you had to decipher like it was some foreign language, and in a way, it was. What happened to the magic of triangles and fire and reptile wings and bolts of lightning? Now every song sounds like Bread hired a top notch guitarist. Is that any way for a youth culture to rebel? Who ever changed the world from indoors?
