First he caught a small star, but it was too hot to eat, even after he put it in the freezer over night. Next he caught an asteroid, but no matter how long he marinated in Worcestershire sauce, it still tasted too dry.
He caught what looked like a planet but turned out to be a gaseous cloud; after two bites he felt so dizzy that he had to lie down. Then he caught a couple satellites, fried them up, and nearly choked on all the wires.
Finally, he caught a planet populated by a thriving civilization of alien life forms. He knew that if he ate it, science would never forgive him. But gosh was he starving...
