Re: Explore It All in Books!
Re: Call of the Wild
Awesome idea! +1
To everyone that doesn't have a journal layout in their comp -- be aware that's grounds for rejection. In the last special derby, I got rejected for not having my design placed on a bag (or in my case, a white rectangle).
Rejections have been coming in very late recently -- please resub as quickly as possible so you don't lose any more votes if it happens.

Ha! Thanks! I like your version as well.

Great analogy and style.

Thanks acraigl! I just looked it up. He did better than the rest of us (Larson that is).

Thanks for the heads up, I'll make sure that's corrected in the file I send to Woot
Re: A Sucker for Words

The presence of my body shall not imply the presence of my mind, especially if I was reading recently :-)

Proof there are Werecats!
Inky wordy tentacle-y goodness! Reminds me of one of my favorite books: Kraken by China Mieville. If you like ink and words and tentacles, you'll love this book.
edited because I tried to link to the book in fantasticfiction.com instead of amazon but it didn't work. So you'll have to hunt for the book yourself. Hey, it's worth it.

Thanks!! My inspiration for this design is reading these stories to my sons from books with the original illustrations. Nutkin was always my favorite, but I figured Peter and Tom were more well known.
Re: A Novel Idea
I'm engaged! I would love to have this in a book form to start writing down my wedding ideas!! Quite fitting.
gwbids wrote:This is great. Don't let it get disqualified by forgetting the journal comp per this week's rules.
This design looks great! I love the lighting effect. I would like to buy it in book form to figure out honeymoon plans...we are planning on going on a cruise but haven't yet begun to figure out which one...this is sooo perfect!
Re: New Worlds
So well done -- only I don't get the book image on a journal cover. Bookception?
Thank you, guys! :D
