Re: Star Harvester

I figured it only fitting that a harvest moon would harvest wishing stars. When they streak through the sky, that means the good ones end up in his bag.

Large view here.

(If a question arises as to the color used for the shirt, it IS navy, per woot's pantone color choice: 532 C. I checked it 3 times before I used it.)

It looks more like asphalt to me. I think it's safest to colorpick from Woot's Photoshop template. None of the colors in their templates show as Pantones for me. Maybe I'm just using an older template.

Looks like asphalt on my screen also.

Re: Star Harvester

Thank you walmazan, mswag, Robbie, Drakxxx, Spud and Loop I appreciate the votes as well as the kind words.

dixon and janesko: In the event that woot has deemed it not close enough, I have set up a new version. Seeing that the shirt staff have been so inconsistent lately regarding colors that have simply been eyedropper'd to use for a mock up, they should at least honor the Pantone choices they note beside the shirt colors. And those HAVE changed rather recently. I believe some of those Pantone numbers changed when they fixed the submission screen a few derbies back.

Nice design! I like the bag and the way the whole design pops on the shirt! GMV.

Ok... but even if woot overlooks it - aren't the comps mostly to show voters what the design looks like on the shirt they are potentially voting for/thinking about buying? Because right now, it looks most like your design is on an asphalt shirt.
I don't know, even if there are exceptions I think using the eyedropper will portray a more accurate shirt color overall, based on your shirt and other shirts I've seen. Here's a recent one.

Believe it or not, that's the exact same color on the Pantone list. I pulled it into photoshop and eyedropper'd the color to see if it was, indeed, the same.

Hey Jaden, are you using a LCD or a CRT for your design work because color shift could be accounting for what the colors look like. Even on a calibrated monitor I don't use the preset swatches found in photoshop or illustrator, instead I do an eyeball color match to what my pantone solid book looks like. (which any artist here should get if they don't have BTW, they cost like $140 but are worth it) I've gotten pretty darn good at it and I find I get much better color matches

When I have the $140 (or if one of my friends at the college can snag me one for half that) I'm definitely getting one. However, I'm not able to afford one at the moment.

I won't be here at noon to see my final total, but I just wanted to thank everyone who voted for it. I'm glad it was well liked overall.
