This reminds me of that Planet Earth episode about rain forests, and how all the tiny seedlings compete like crazy when a sun-hole opens in the canopy from a large tree dying/falling. GMV.

You and Edgar need to collaborate more often. For great justice, and because your styles mesh so well together.

I was hoping you'd come up with something that was more focused on hope and giving rather than having starving people and/or animals on a shirt. Thank you for not disappointing me.

Ahhh. Now I get it. I thought this was an edgar from the thumbnail and then saw tgentry and was startled... just looked again and saw this comment.

It's really lovely! The little tree is so charming - bedraggled but a sweet expression.

I like the concept but am disappointed by the execution. The faces are alright but would look better on the trunks instead of the leaves I think. This goes especially for the little tree, whose face looks like a green circle pasted over the tree, really poorly done. Also, the greens should be inverted, with the darker green the primary and the light one the accent. Lastly, this shirt would look better on almost any color other than white, think blue or yellow. I would definitely buy this if these changes were made and I think you would have something to really be proud of.

Very nice work, the both of you. I'm personally not a fan of half-tones; however, "Air" printed much better than I thought it might, and prompted me to drop $15 for a copy when it hit the reckoning list. (The first and only shirt I've ever done that for!) Here's hoping Woot can do as good a job in printing this one as well.

Of the current fogged shirts, I don't think the robots really deserve scorn. That's a rock solid design, if not as good as this one. The generic, half-tone crazy tree design and the bowl of rice, however, have no business being this high.

If only nature had could be personified... Not one would give to another tree... infact all plants are competing with each other and almost every single trait and adaptation is so they can out do the other by any means necessary. Since the trees have a sort of whimsical feel t them, and aren't drawn like real trees, I think we're all ok with this discrepancy. I suppose the fact that the trees have faces also rejects the factual too... can someone help me out here? These trees aren't real, right?

Anyone who doesn't understand the point I made needs a good swift kick to the gonads.

What I said earlier reflects upon humans, it's human nature to leave starving people to die. In fact... Saving them from death is more likely to produce diseases to control the population. Just think of it as a cure to over-population. Not my thoughts, thats just how the world works, sorry it leaps into the vacuum, but that's life.

Oh, I understand your point very well. I just don't give a damn about it in respect to this shirt and its wearability. Seriously now, you're veering into self-parody.

Not in regards to what you're saying, per se, but the fact that you're soapboxing about letting the starving die on a damn shirt thread about a happy pair of sharing trees.

Edit- And upon re-reading, I realized I did misinterpret your point in my initial post, and therefore I must take a step back from what I said earlier. For that, I apologize. The point about soapboxes, however, still stands.
