I love this, but there's something wrong with the position of the design. I'm fine with the color, but I'm pushing myself not to buy any more shirts for a while, so it doesn't matter too too much what I think.

well its obvious WHY you didn't get yours posted before the monkey shirt...
it takes a bit longer to create original art with a vector illustration program than to slap some clip art together... is clip art even allowed? ah well, it got rejected anyway.

I'm not sure, but I thought kleptomania was a condition where a person was unable to control their thieving, i.e. stealing without even being aware of their crimes. This image is clearly not that. =P

This design so perfectly embodies the topic that I don't understand how it could possibly not get into the top three! I wish I could think of (and execute) something like it. Great job!

Even if I really like some of the designs in the derbies, it's very rare that I see one that I'd want to actually buy as a shirt. The problem with this derby is there's now two that I know I'm most likely gonna end up being unable to resist (assuming they're both printed).

Not super crazy about the placement, but it's a cool idea expressed wonderfully by the great illustration. I love the cop.

You know, what I REALLY like about this shirt apart from what everyone else is saying, is the expression on the Mona Lisa. She just knows this is a bad idea and is looking on with (somewhat justified) schadenfreude.

Im a student at the cleveland institute of art. and Im majoring in animation/illustration. I just found out about this site this week through a friend. you guys can expect more designs in the future, this has been fun. thanks for your support!

Dr. Seuss is awesome in his own right, but not really my cup of tea. Im influenced by too many artist to really list and Im always finding more. Inspiration comes from many artists and many styles. thanks for your comments!

I'm not so sure any more, the pengiun is what people seem to like (which somewhat confuses me) and the king has been in the fog from the beginning (which I think it is definitely deserving). out of those in the fog I think I'll be the one to go at this rate.

wow thanks a ton dude! that really means a lot to me. I hope your effort pays off. and I wish others would do the same. Im glad to see that some one is being selective on how they vote. if you want a desing to be printed then you cant vote for everything else too.

don't be discouraged. you have amazing talent, it just sometimes takes awhile to click with woot voters. I wouldn't be surprised if this prints, it's funny and very well drawn. I won't be buying it because i don't like the placement or size and don't feel it's very well balanced, but I definitely look forward to more entries from you.

Just wanted to add my voice to what I love about this design:
1) The drawing style is classic and I like its hand-drawn-ness.
2) Love that it tells a story. As a playwright, it inspires me to maybe figure out what that story is (could be that we've got someone who's a compulsive thief and is about to be be caught, thus leading to his reformation; or he's NOT going to be caught, encouraging even bigger and more daring thievery; or maybe it's just a comical character study about this particular thief and his adventures in crime, each one more ridiculous than the last).
3) The color of the star gives it an extra pop and draws your eye right to the heart of the "story."
4) The various items he's already stolen are hilarious.

Thanks for a great design, and if you don't win, at least know that you've put a smile on a lot of people's faces with a great drawing. But I hope you *do* win - if you're in the top 4 I'll be staying up 'til midnight each night this weekend so I can grab it when it comes up!

I didn't get in the top three... but Oh well, maybe next time. unfortunately I don't think I will have time to make a design for this weeks derby, you know finals and all that jazz. still If I get my work done then Ill see what I can do. again thanks to everyone who voted and supported me your the best!

I made a new one because I made a new email, and so I want to become organized, and have my stuff centered on one email, or something like that.
Anyways, so I've bought a woot before, on this account, and I saw the buttons, and I clicked some of them. (This is for the current Derby).

I guess I should have read the comments earlier about this not winning. I've got up 3 nights in a row to buy this. The other 3 were all good as well, but this was the best for me. I really like the style. Hopefully you will submit others in the future - I'll keep looking!

Know that some of that stuff is outdated. They don't announce the winners until they go up for sale now and the new theme is announced on Thursday, etc. ^_^
