Wow, you squeezed way more creativity out of this idea than I would have thought possible. The O and Q thing is hilarious, as is the Y. 1up.
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
I'd like to point out that each letter's weapon of choice begins w/ its letter, but I can't figure out z and x
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
VERY COOL! I'd definitely get one if it won! Good Luck!
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
Very well done. I feel sorry for the real "Q"
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
Wow. Just, wow. You win for creativity!
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
Thanks everyone!
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
Wow this came out great. Matching the weapons to the letters was a good idea. GMV
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
Reminds me of...
Ron Burgundy: (on the fight between local anchormen) Boy, that escalated quickly... I mean, that really got out of hand fast!
Champ Kind: It jumped up a notch!
Ron Burgundy: It did, didn't it?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart!
Ron Burgundy: I saw that! Brick killed a guy! Did you throw a trident?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident!
Ron Burgundy: Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should probably find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.
Terribliz wrote: Ron Burgundy: I saw that! Brick killed a guy! Did you throw a trident?

Good catch there, thanks! That's why I went with the Trident for T. Well, that and Little Mermaid, but don't tell anyone.
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
Awesome and one of the most creative designs I have seen. Love the pacifist Y
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
A thoughtful and sharp (no pun intended) design! I need to get more familiar with weapons apparently...

Z is zweihander, X... X-calibur?
slickshughes wrote:Z is zweihander, X... X-calibur?
Wow, correct on Z but not on X. Good guess though! ![]()
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
I can't figure out the X either....but I love how the X is confused by the "in cognitgo" O!!! Love it!
X is a xiphos.
Like others have said, this is really creative! I love it.
Zeusandhera wrote:Wow, correct on Z but not on X. Good guess though!
What's E...? looks like a Haduken to me! X)
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
Great concept and striking colors-- I really hope this wins, GMV!!
Izzman89 wrote:What's E...? looks like a Haduken to me! X)
Yea! Someone noticed! That's basically it. An "Energy Blast/Wave/Attack" from whatever game or anime you choose. I'm partial to the Kamehameha Wave myself.
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
I hate black shirts. I love this.
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
This one is quite funny, Zeusandhera! nice take on the theme ![]()
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
is G throwing a Golf ball?.... oh wait its probably a grenade ...duh
devildotcom wrote:is G throwing a Golf ball?.... oh wait its probably a grenade ...duh
If this wins, I will get it for under my uniform for my self defense class. May even get on for the head instructor and senior instructor. I know the guys will love it. The other ladies will laugh.
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
Wow... The fact that each of the letters is holding a weapon starting with that letter just makes this shirt. It's got my vote
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
What weapons would you have used for O, Q, and Y ?
darthwarden wrote:What weapons would you have used for O, Q, and Y ?
Q could be Quarterstaff. I put that in my design this week. It doesn't fit with my overall theme though.

Zeusandhera wrote:Q would have been a Quarterstaff, so kudos to eHalcyon. Then I couldn't think of/find anything for O so I opted to just have the O be disguised as Q, I thought it was amusing.
I never even considered a weapon for Y. I wanted Y neutral due to it being sometimes considered a vowel. I did want Y to be purple though, but I couldn't due to the 6 color limit.
What is the V weapon?
Re: Alphabet War: Vowels vs Consonants
A weapon for Y could have been a yo-yo, which was originally designed as a weapon. I like the design, simple concept... great creativity.
catvet6 wrote:What is the V weapon?
Voulge.
Though, I can't figure out I, of all of them.
What is it?
rekenner wrote:Though, I can't figure out I, of all of them.

Iaito? If so, poor I doesn't stand a chance!
rekenner wrote:Though, I can't figure out I, of all of them.

I guess "I" would be the most difficult to figure out, so I'll give you a hint. "Abe Reles"
dselig wrote:I'd like to point out that each letter's weapon of choice begins w/ its letter, but I can't figure out z and x
this actually reminds me of a game on adultswim.com called "viva caligula" where there's a weapon for each letter of the alphabet... for x is 'xyston' and z is 'zampogna'
you can look them up on wikipedia, though z is more of a musical instrument than weapon...
Nice idea. Me likes.
another post edit:
im just confused.
'I' is wielding an icepick.

Is the "X" X-Calibur? (As in King Arthur's sword?)
