Re: Soylent Green
I like this but doesn't it cross that whole copyright issue?

The shirt doesn't say soylent green anywhere, and it's more of a similar idea to the film, not actually a direct reference. If not for the title of the image, it's just another design. I like it. I don't think it's in violation at all.

Thanks. Yeah, in no way does the shirt use anything at all copyrighted.
I'm dying to get this shirt... I hope it wins. Best of luck...

I like it too...that's why I was asking...
I know woot's rejectionator is somewhat arbitrary, and I'm afraid this may get hit with the big 'ole stamp of doom...
Re: Soylent Green
Thanks for the votes and comments everyone. Hopefully this isn't destined to stay just outside the fog. I can't believe it's that far out of reach, please help it out.

Thanks!
Your design must be on a green (or grass) shirt, or include at least one green ink color, in addition to dealing with "green" conceptually.

I'm not sure I know why this was copied here?
Re: Soylent Green
Nice... but is using a movie title copyright infringement?
vnebel wrote:Nice... but is using a movie title copyright infringement?
The movie title is just the title of the shirt so that you understand the context. The shirt itself does not say that on it, and if woot were to sell it they would not use that title when they sold it, either.

OR people. The word is OR. Green shirt OR green ink. Do we need a lesson in conjunctions? If this shirt doesn't place because it loses votes due to people not understanding the word OR, I'm going to pout.
Re: Soylent Green
must have this shirt or i will lead a tortured barren life.
Re: Soylent Green
Yes! Finally a soylent green shirt! Thank you! I had to watch that movie in my freshman science class about a decade ago.
Soylent Green is People! Has my vote. I hope this one makes it.

bluchez, I just wanted you to know that you break my heart.
Please win a derby already.

Heart breakage is certainly not necessary. I do this as a mild amusement, not as anything related to an occupation or even potential source of income.
