I like the idea, but can you use it? It seems like the phrase would be copyrighted or trademarked or something.

it's not copyrighted.. if i had included Joss' little mutant guy it would be a problem, but the phrase itself has been used in comic books since at least the 50s.

you spy correctly.. and thanks when we watch Buffy on DVD we always wait for the Mutant Enemy logo to come on before cutting off the DVD. my wife and I both do the "Grr Argh" together. yes, we are Buffy (and Angel) geeks.

This is great! I like how subtly you made the letters, you can't really tell what it says until you are further away.

Have you seen the clip of Robot Chicken when Joss guest starred and spoofed the logo?

I had to vote because the eyeball guy looks alot like a character I was doing in a comic.
I was going to illustrate the song "eyeball kid" by tom waits. It never worked out completely, but anyway your design reminded me of that and I had to vote. Great job.

thanks for the vote! i'm a big fan of comic art and a fan of Tom's music but that's one i'm not familiar with. sounds like a cool project though. i'll check out the lyrics.
