While I can't say I particularly like this design, I think excluding it because it is a 'play' is not right. Do you really think woot is going to have a 'play' derby like this book derby? Unlikely.

Sorry dude. Wooters are a cruel mistress, sometimes, but the rules are stated (somewhat) clearly.
