So awesome. The whole concept is pulled off so well (the beard is my favorite!).

I'd wear this proudly in the middle of summer. I don't care when it prints, I want it. It makes me all smiley inside (and out) every time I look at it.

Good job on this on Ed. It's simple yet intricate and has great colors for the concept. Good luck sir.

It seems as though the more recent an entry is, the better it performs in the do over derby. Maybe because it's still fresh on people's minds.

Creepy. His little chiclet teeth are so far apart, and his eyes are so wide-set, he looks like he's inbred.

Plus, it looks like he's pooping houses and belching smog. I know he has a pipe, but some of the smoke is radiating from the other side of his mouth.

Nasty looking pervert with his crotch in that village.

Sadly, I'll supply the tissues for both of us if it doesn't get chosen as an EC.

I'd buy sock in kleenex, but the economy just isn't what it used to be.

That being said, I'll make a point to beg for every package of generic tissue product that comes in the next church boxes for those who need it here.

This is going to be a looooong week.

Oh, stop flirting you two. You're distracting everyone from the tragedy that is this shirt's not being in the fog. So I say:

Go, old man winter, go!

XP fine... not that burying someone in the snow sounds all that pleasant. Around here, you'd die if someone left you compacted in a ton of snow.

Anyways, in regards to the shirt, If woot doesn't at least EC this one, you know they're the ones losing out. I found this to be probably the best one from the winter derby.

aw, the fun is over? rats

But, ya, the point is - this shirt is seriously good. Edgar needs more prints, and this one deserves it most.

And around here, there's just been a little too much Old Man Winter....even if Jaden wants to have a go

Dear theinfinityloop,

I am a man and I voted for this shirt because it is awesome and has a unique style. (And I really like the moon's eyes.)

Thanks,
Brady

p.s. Oh koi, I think I was supposed to make this statement about a certain "cute" shirt in this derby but I cannot, (and no man or person should.) :c)

Seriously, this is one of the many edgar shirts that I love.

I ADORE this shirt--it's so creative! Not another boring anime-cutsey-food-bird-tree shirt, but really demented ART that took some serious skill and a unique artistic personality.
This is the kind of shirt you see and you go "WOW, who drew that? Where did you get it?" Rather than a shirt that looks like you bought it at Hot Topic or Wal-Mart.

I must have this shirt. I will buy three. I love getting demented, artistic shirts for my cousin, because his mother's an artist...

I love this shirt so damned much; I was immensely disappointed about its shutout in the winter derby. Were I to come across this design as a painting, I would purchase it to hang on my wall. Were I a publisher, I would hire you to illustrate a gaggle of children's books. Were this somehow made available as a tee... why, I would buy it and wear it into the height of summer!
Short version: GMV and I hope it garners many more.

Edited to reflect the proper subjunctive mood! YAY internet!

This shirt is immensely better than all the koi in the top 4 at the moment. The originality, styling and humour of this shirt may be something of an acquired taste... but I grow tired of the one-trick ponies that grace the top shirts as of late.

Is a dog giving a cat a fish really that good? Really?

Communist Dinosaurs? Almost funny, but no. Mostly dumb.

I'll take a rusty old winter man with a beard of houses any day.

Woah. My comment was _so_ insulting to your sensibilities that you had to single it out for its grammatical errors? Wow, next time I write a random hyperbolic plaudit for a tshirt design at 2am while exhausted, emotionally drained, and hungover, I'll be sure to stop and check that my freaking subjunctive mood is consistently and properly conjugated throughout my text. Because, obviously, _that's_ what's important on here. Especially since english isn't my first language.
But, you know, thanks. Glad to be reminded that random strangers on the internet will be rudely critical for little to no reason at all. I had _almost_ forgotten!

I don't know what subjunctive mood is. very bad since I will be teaching kids next week. koi. your post sounded fine to me. :D but anyone who appreciates the wonderfulness that is Edgar is a good person IMHO.

Thanks! Rereading my post this afternoon, after a full night's sleep, I was able to clearly see how my tenses were all over the place (sans need for anyone to point it out). Okay, my bad and corrected. As a part-time editor, I, too, get all bent out of shape over bad english (especially when it's my own). It's embarrassing to be caught with my own grammatical pants around my slow-brain legs. But for an old-time wooter who rarely posts to go out of his/her way to single out my particular frak-up--in a publicly dismissive/condescending manner, no less--on a design-commentary thread? I didn't steal his bike, kill his cat, or sleep with his mom; it was completely unnecessary.

Anyway, hooray for Edgar and his design! So good that even the written commentary on his art should reflect his superlative talent! Amirite?!

Does anyone know where I can get the fabric-like background that edgar always uses? I think I saw someone else use the same kind so I'm guessing you can download it somewhere. I did a search for it but came up with nothing

Woot has yet to print Edgar at his most Edgar-y, except for that first time when he sold 180 copies. Yeah, I thought that was ludicrously low too.

Anyway, I think this is easily his best this derby, and one of his best since the last do-over, but I don't feel confident at all that it'd ever get printed here without massive luck in voting.
