Re: Gummistone Park

Ever wonder where all the non-packaged Gummy Bears live? I haven't. But now I do. I would imagine there would be signs like this around to deter hikers from indulging themselves with a few helpings.

After all, Gummy Bears are Bears too. At least according to a friend of mine who is always turned off of the idea of chowing some down. I personally love gummy bears, but he'll say "But they're little bears!" with a tone that sounds as if I'm picking on little kids or yelling at a puppy.

So anyway, here's a nice picture. Green completely passed out. Orange is in that "I wasn't sleeping" mode where he's asleep but just hasn't fallen over yet. And Red, well, that's the typical Gummy Bear pose. He looks a little stiff. I imagine its the fear that keeps him awake. He goes by the nickname "Red Alert"

Ok that's enough haha. I hope you enjoy. ... but not from eating the bears of course!

This...is a great idea. I really like the position the orange one is sitting in along with the traditional pose for the red one. Good job sir.

Hee! Cute!

But also kind of reminds me of Robot Chicken: "I'm so happy 'cause I'm a gummy bear! Gummy bear!" So beware, little gummy bears...

Amazing idea sir! I love how they're all stiff like the actual candy, and the one I imagine is melting in the sun. I laughed on multiple levels, then I voted. Best of luck this week man.

Getting one for my nephew if it wins--he loves these things. And I can't believe no one's mentioned how the sleeping bear is clutching a little teddy bear: that's a great touch!

I think it's a well-executed idea, but for me personally, the teddy is the one element of the design that just seems a little ... off. GMV regardless, I suppose, even though I don't eat the things (it's not the bear shape that bothers me, it's the gelatin.)

Congrats and it would be really cool for you!

Nothing against you but, personally, im fed up with so often the sweet shirts winning the derbys . And not the more artistic ones like "Image.nation Park" and "The Last Park" or the "funny bull**it" ones (i don't know how to describe it) like "X-treme National Park" or "DEATH NATIONAL PARK". But that's just me, the people vote this way.
I hope that at least "Giant Sequoia" gets printed...

And because the people vote this way, i'm relatively sure you get your kick-ass gift :D.

I appreciate the honesty but I must say it seems pretty balanced to me. Right now there are 2 humourous and 2 artistic in the fog. I think X-treme National Park is great. Its not just stickfigures with L O L written on it. The idea is great and I think its very well done artistically. It may not be swirls or pretty halftones but it is very nice artwork. I can see if your personal taste is for non-cartoony shirts with some sort of joke on them but there are plenty of people that like the "sweet" ones and are tired of the "pretty" ones.

Shirt.woot seems more based around humor as most of their dailies are some sort of joke with a few exceptions as are their write-ups. So if there is some truth to them being more dominant then that might be why. But there are plenty of non funny shirts that win.

I like to make both. It really just depends on what the theme is. I just couldn't envision a serious National Park shirt. I'd say a lot of derbies end up with at least one of each. Take a look back through the winners. This week should be the same. I'm sure either tgentry's or cmdixon2's will print. Both are very nice shirts that have no punchline.

Thank you! I love your design. The problem is that there are a lot of great ones this week I think. Same with a few other recent derbies where the Top 10 should have all been printed. I know it suck5 though to have over 1000 votes and still be bouncing in and out of 5th. A lot of 1st Place winners don't even have 1000.
