Re: Punkin Sunset

I loved this idea- a setting sun between trees, with bats flying around, mimicking a jack-o-lantern. After several iterations and colors, I decided it looked best on black. Ah, if only we had glow in the dark inks for the gray areas... sigh. From perrenial 4th placer SkekTek (http://shirt.amakihi.org)

Of all the shirts of yours that I've seen in different derbies, I think I like this one the best.

This turned out great Skek... clean and polished and clever! And the bat looks great.

Thanks! The bat ended up real cool. Mebbe if I had a housecat or tiger or puma kitten coming out of the trees I'd be in the fog...

Clean & clever, I'm surprised it's not doing better too. I'm not much of a Halloween fan, but I would wear this.

My only critique is that since you mentioned glow ink, I'd like to see grey highlights in a color - say a light limey green or a vibrant aqua blue (complimentary to the orange). Still gmv

Re: Punkin Sunset

This needs more votes.

Are the two orange sections on either side of the pumpkin supposed to look like ears of corn, or is that just a happy accident?

Thanks! Aqua blue would be excellent alternative to the gray. I went with gray instead of white to make less of a contrast statement on the dark shirt. Blue would rock. This would be a decent fall shirt in general, I think.

Happy accident- didn't even see that until you pointed it out!

Thanks! It's stalled vote-wise, but I'm hoping it's liked enough that the wootgods finally reach down from heaven and tap one of my designs this week for an HM. Haven't had one since the Canadian Derby. I like both of them a lot.
