The Keeper of Crimson Ghosts tends to these lost souls in between the world of the living and the dead.
This design is inspired by several old beliefs that a departed soul appears as a bird.

Thanks in advance for any comments and votes. I hope it came out to your liking!

Good work as always. Nice use of space... I don't have many t-shirts that use the full shirt so I hope this does well.

Hmm a woman being the overseer of a group of majestic creatures...

That was my first thought. I hope you don't get stuck in a trend like that!

Nicely done, not my favorite figure you've ever drawn but it's still very nice.

Awesome styling as always, Drakxxx.
Glad you took out the drips, as well.
Something about the woman's face throws me off though - I think it might be her lips, as they come out to almost a point. There doesn't seem to be any definition or indent between the upper and lower lip. It looks a little strange, but it's not something I think anyone would notice with a glance at the shirt as it's worn.
Good luck this week!

Now I get this shirt. I've actually not heard of this belief.

I love the crimson that you added to her dress, it definitely ties it all together.

Very nice. I like how her skirts billow out like tentacles.

For me it's the jaw line that throws it off a little for me. Feels a little too steep.

Glad you got rid of the drip. Once somebody said bird poop that's all I could see. I just wish you'd get rid of that curl in her hair by her head, still looks like a weird misplaced ear when it's smaller and at a quick glance. Please remove it because I'm probably in for a couple of these if/when it wins, just not with that weird ear. Other than that I totally love it!

Very nice! I was hoping for some red when I saw the line art, and I love the touches on her dress. GMV.

The red really pops on this and really emphasizes the motion of the birds. GMV

I really really like the red birds, but as others have mentioned there is something about the girl that kinda bugs me, maybe her face. It's not enough for me to not want to wear it though, the birds are the focus of the design.

I love the layout for this one, and the red really pops on the navy. Great one Drakxxx!

Another fantastic art work Drak, but you really need to start incorporating grade school humor and pop culture references into your shirt designs on here, else you are pretty much just donating art weekly to this contest for free.

Even the usually integrity driven BootsBoots went that route this week, so there is no shame in the game.

My 2 cents.

I can't believe that despite the fog increasing to 9 shirts, Drakxxx so often is just outside of the fog. I mean, previously he would land around 5th/6th place, now 10-12th.

So obviously there's something about the voters (fraudulent or not) that they just WILL NOT push Drakxx into the fog. It's scaffolding.

It seems the amount of votes within the top 15 designs has increased dramatically since the introduction of the 9 spot fog, which could be part of the reason. I think Drak is seeing his usual amount of votes, which right, is never enough.

My earlier post could also explain part of it.
Drak rarely attempts to cash in with pop culture references or cute jokes with his designs, and that's obviously what people want to pay money for on this site. Look at the last derby winners. 3 shirts of deformed animals blowing each other up, and all of them looked like they were done by the same person.

Though I know Drak has been voted to print a good amount of times since he started getting involved in the site, this is simply not his venue. Even though he obviously has hardcore fans of his work here, it usually takes a miracle or a great injustice to see even his best work make it to print.

The fact that Drak continues to submit knowing he hasn't a chance in hell of beating out the cute garbage is quite a mystery to me, as I've mentioned before. His, and quite a few other artist's talents are wasted in the weekly derby.

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

^I don't think Drakxxx is wasting his talents at all. Obviously he likes designing artwork, even if it's not going to sell. No artist gets paid for 100% of their work. Each time he submits a shirt, he gets feedback on it, which grows his talent as an artist. I think it is more valuable to grow as an artist and not sell than to stagnate while selling.

Of course Drakxxx has to pay his bills somehow, but that is for him to worry about.
