Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward to new era?
...And then the whole ship blew up.

Wow I love this, especially the detail on the ship! GMV!
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
Lovely. gmv :D
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
Of all the palindromes -- most impressive is here.
GMV.

Thanks. It is a cool saying, eh?
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
I would wear this shirt every day except days where I needed to wash it.
Those would be sad days.
In for a vote. Looks great.
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
this.is.awesome.
I hope this one wins.
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
Impressive art work. You are very talented. GMV
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
It's the Final Countdown, with a sailing ship.

Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
I love the part about it then blowing up...sigh...post scripts are awesome.
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
You always add new styles to your artwork and this one is great.
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
Doomed to become the Flying Dutchman?!
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
Great palindrome, exciting design. GL
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
Winner, winner, chicken dinner. If this shirt is not first place in this Derby, I will eat my own face. You heard it here first.
Oh, and GMV, obviously. Very well done. :D

Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
this had better win. i would have preferred the name to be actual text on the shirt solely for its profoundness, but nevertheless it is a standalone great piece of art. I would woo this shirt.
this is the kind of shirt that deserves 1st place

You haven't been around the derby much, have you? The fact that this is good almost guarantees it won't print, let alone get first.
That said, hope your face is delicious.
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
This is a really cool departure for you, Jewel. The colors are beautiful as always. Very wearable.
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
It seems like I'm the only one who doesn't really like the scratchy, random, lines. I usually like your stuff, but I just can't get into this one.
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
I would buy this in half a heart beat (or as fast as the servers would let me...). GMV, love it ![]()
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
Wow! I hope this one wins!
I am reminded of Draxxx a lot in this one.
I like this design too... I lived in Cape Cod born and raised around boats. This takes me back big time.
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
This is amazing, and I would buy it in a second if it prints. Please print. Please? Beat out those irritatingly unoriginal Star Rats and Stack Cats which are almost guaranteed to win here because they involve cats and rats! C'mon, you can do it!
i wish they had allowed the palindrome on the shirts, it would make so much more sense, really good one though, and well done, definitely the most impressive in the derby.
p.s. really loved the palindrome, you come up with that by yourself? never heard it before

Oh his poor face...

jewelwing wrote:My Dad gave it to me. Don't know where he got it from. I wasn't going to enter at all this week, but when I heard it, it sounded so epic, I changed my mind.
It's an old one. You can find it in most lists of palindromes online, along with "In a regal age ran I," "Repel evil as a live leper," "No sir, away! A papaya war is on!," "A man, a plan, a canal: Panama," and "A dog, a plan, a canal: pagoda."
This is one of the better of the well-known long palindromes though, in my opinion.

Well if nothing else you can claim they're the few drawn onward. I believe a ship with an anthropomorphic pirate crew would do very well here, even if only a hypothetically anthropomorphic pirate crew.
Absolutely kick-ass shirt, amazing design !
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
I've always heard it as:
"Are we not drawn onwards, we jews, drawn onward to new era?
Your way is more inclusive though.
Re: on black would be cooler. i like the design though
Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
gorgeous
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
so beautiful.
Re: Are we not drawn onward, we few, drawn onward...
This shirt reminds me of this scene from The Care Bears Movie II: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYMHHcAf-hA#t=04m15s Simply because I loved that movie, I would buy it--luckily, it's also awesome, so even better
Great work--please keep up the varied styles and lack of fuzzy cute things. Fuzzy cute things are okay every now and again--thanks for holding to that concept and not using an artistic crutch. ![]()

Totally makes me think of a time-traveling sail boat! Doubt it could make 88 mph though... ;) I'd buy it! Great job.

Easy solution, buy two!
