Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
I've come to the conclusion that Dali must have really not liked Giraffes. Also if you own a Giraff, keep it away from all open flame as they are apparently highly flameable.

Tall, elegant, combustible...exactly what I think when I see giraffe's. Your collaboration injects an appealing balance of humour and horror to the derby.
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
Poor giraffes : ( Great facial expressions on the giraffes! I wonder if they had a run in with Blake's Tiger Tiger Burning Bright.

I'm calling PETCA* on you two!

Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
Hilarious work! Love the the flaming tips of their tails. +1
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
Great work! I'm surprised that this isn't doing better.
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
Nice! Love the expression of the giraffe on the right. GMV
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
Thanks for the support, everyone! Tjost did another fantastic job on the coloring on this one. Awesome! I love Dali's Burning Giraffes!
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
LOL this is awesome!
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
The flames look AMAZING!!! Great job!
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
Such an evil shirt, I hope it wins so that I might wear it and share this evil.

Aren't they fantastic? I want to warm myself upon their greatness. TJost's color work is the shizzle mcbizzle!
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
I'm still a sucker for any burning giraffe drawing... but wouldn't this one fall under the "Off topic, reinterpreting artwork, not title" rejection?

When I saw the rejections for that I began to wonder the same.
Here is the original piece by Dali. I tried to draw something that was very different, concept-wise. It will be up to the staff to decide the fat of the poor flaming tall ones.

Agreed. Flames are top notch.. . .SHOW OFFS :P
I read the comments about the threat of rejection . . .I hope not. I now imagine them running frantically away from the rejectionator.

Unstoppable says the man with 2 wins in two weeks and another sqaurely in the fog this week
I'm glad you like it but it seems you sir are unstoppable, maybe give us a chance next week and go on vacation ;)

Noooo, I want more Walmazan! -rolls around in adorable fun-
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
I was just joshing earlier, of course it's a great design and I'm only mildly traumatized. ;)
This kinda feels like the flipside of the Save the Whales shirts. Why must we burn all the giraffes to do that? I don't know. Something about making omelettes and breaking eggs? Or maybe they had it coming. Yeah giraffes, we're on to you! We're taking you down before your inevitable evil plans come to light.
*cough* Anyway...
The drawing and coloring are equally wonderful, and were well worth my vote (and a lot more!).
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
Much as I don't like seeing giraffes burning, this looks awesome you two. Great movement and characters plus the giraffe coloring is amazing - like they are glowing! Not to mention the fiery and African looking looking landscape. Fantastic collab!
Re: Burning Giraffes in Brown by Dali
Thanks for the support and comments on this guys. Yeah I knew that burning giraffes might not be everyones cup of tea but I just had to do it once I saw Bass' sketch
There's some nice subs this derby and if I havn't commented on yours it's because I've had a really busy week so I apologize. Keep it up everyone. Thanks

Thanks so much for working with me again, TJost! I'm glad you were up for working on my somewhat odd and silly idea. We'll have to try another time...and not do animals on fire ^^; I thought these guys were so funny, but my sense of humor is kind of knee-jerk.
Note: I love giraffes and would never set them on fire. Also, I'm short, I can't reach their hairs anyways :\.
