The ideas you come up with...this is awesome. Truly amazing. I was curious to see what people would do without any real thematic constraints on subject matter. As predicted most have disappointed, and also as predicted, your have not.

Heey, lets nitpick. When illustrators created woodcuts the lines were kept flush with the outer bits and were what got inked, in a way it was an early negative. In this image the ink is between the lines, not used on the lines. If it was the opposite maybe a non-gray shirt color could have been used.
There, now someone has nitpicked in the thread of someone who... oh wait you do print often. Well in the thread of one who goes unflamed.
I like the subject matter- :D

In relief printing line can be created either by carving around the lines or by carving linework into a surface. This is how detail is created in dark areas and night scenes would be depicted. The blue 'ink' color is lighter than the brown, so it was the more appropriate approach.
Walmazan, this is a refreshing take on the theme. While most of us have struggled to get the style right you did it right while also lampooning a scene that might appear in traditional woodcuts. +1

Completely agree. I want two - one for me, and one as a Christmas gift for a friend who will love it. Hope it gets an HM and a chance in the reprint derby, but if not, please submit it elsewhere!
